Process & Paradox

This series resulted from my travels ranging from Alaska to Arizona. The segmented compositions hint of the passage of time and are arranged in three parts: photographs I took of shorelines, forests, and fields arranged in a radial symmetry or mirrored; charcoal rubbings of ephemera collected at the locations; and paintings inspired by memories of being in these stunning places.
